On December 28, 1970, President Richard Nixon signed into law the Occupational Safety & Health Act, which went into effect April 28, 1971. And since 1989, April 28th has been observed as a national and international day of remembrance and action for workers killed, disabled, injured or made unwell by their work.
You are invited to join us as we commemorate employees lost throughout 2016.
In addition to attending, please show your commitment to raising awareness of workplace safety in Northeast Florida by signing our Safety Pledge here.
