OSHA Standards 1910.134 and 1926.103 require employers to maintain a respiratory protection program and that all persons with tasks where respirators are necessary must be trained, medically approved, fit tested and annually retrained. Anyone exposed to breathing air with oxygen depletion, harmful dust, fumes, mists, gases, smokes, sprays or vapors must be trained. Course topics include: respiratory protection regulation, fit testing procedures, care & use of the equipment, and the different types of purifying respirators will be covered.
